SOCO has doubled in size in the last year and one of the exciting developments is our all-woman Business Central team. Priscilla Liew joined SOCO’s Brisbane office as a Microsoft Dynamics 365, Business Central Architect, and soon became the lead of our first ever all-female team.
In Australia, women currently hold less than a third of all technology jobs, according to an Australian Computer Society report. Even less for women in tech leadership roles.
At SOCO, we believe that although achieving a balanced gender mix remains a challenge, it’s one worth striving to overcome.
Whilst establishing SOCO’s Business Central practice in 2020 Priscilla found that skilled and experienced Business Central staff were particularly hard to find.
Business Central practice lead
“In addition to technical expertise, it requires a thorough understanding of financial operations, so it was a happy coincidence that the best candidates for the roles were women.” Priscilla explains.
