Feast on a SharePoint Smorgasbord

Moving SharePoint files, the easy way!
Microsoft has rolled out new updates for moving document(s) from source to destination in SharePoint Online. I’ve been waiting for this feature for so long, and am extremely excited that it has finally arrived!
File(s) can now be moved (1) within a SharePoint Document Library (i.e. between folders), (2) to another library within the same SharePoint site, (3) to another library within another site in the same site collection, (4) to your OneDrive.

Bulk Metadata Editing in SharePoint
Microsoft announced this week that they are rolling out a brand new Bulk Metadata Editing Feature, as part of the New Experience list view. The feature is rolling out to Targeted Release customers from January 17th (Targeted Release is the new name for First Release – which is an opt-in program).

SharePoint to look prettier?
Microsoft are in the process of releasing a new feature that allows you to customise the ‘new experience’ site themes, including the ability to control the options available for your users. Specifically it will now be possible for admins to create and upload custom site designs and custom site themes, storing them in a central, tenant-level gallery – applicable for use with both team and communication sites.

Light SharePoint Up For Christmas!
OK, maybe its a bit early for Christmas themed blog posts – but Microsoft have just announced that custom styling for ‘New Experience’ list columns is coming soon to those who are signed up the ‘First Release‘ program. And that feels like an early Christmas present to me!
